Pricing & Policies
Thank you for your interest in the Alexander Technique!
Lessons may be paid at the time of your appointment, by cash, check, or credit card. A credit card is required to confirm your first lesson, but will not be charged unless you cancel with less than 24 hours notice. At your first lesson, you can choose to pay with the card on file or pay by check or cash.
The first lesson is $85 and lasts one hour.
You will get the most out of your Alexander Technique lessons if you study intensively in the beginning. I strongly recommend that my new students study intensively for a short period following their first lesson. I have two packages to choose from:
- Daily for One Week: Five 30-minute lessons scheduled in one week at $55/lesson.
- Three Times a Week for Two Weeks: Six 45-minute lessons scheduled three times per week over two weeks at $70/lesson.
Intensives are paid in full, in advance.
Students can continue to study intensively, as our schedules allow. Subsequent lessons can also be scheduled at minimum weekly, for either 45 minutes ($70/lesson) or one-hour ($85/lesson).
Payment Plans for Intensives
For individuals who are interested in intensives but aren't able to pay the full amount up front, I offer payment plans that allow you to pay for your intensive over the course of several weeks.
I do offer a sliding scale for students and artists who have difficulty paying for lessons. Please inquire about a sliding scale when signing up for a first lesson here.
Once you have booked your appointment, you will receive a confirmation e-mail that links to an option to cancel or reschedule. Please use this link if you need to modify your appointment.
You are required to give 24 hours notice for canceling or rescheduling your lesson. You will receive an automatic reminder of your lesson 24 hours before your lesson time. Your credit card will be charged for lessons canceled with less than 24 hours of the appointment, or in the event of a no-show.
Lessons begin and end on time. Lessons will not be extended past their schedule time in the event that a lesson starts late due to student tardiness.
Most comfortable, everyday clothing is appropriate for an Alexander lesson. Please avoid tight-fitting clothes that restrict movement
or anything that might be unintentionally revealing, such as tank tops or skirts.
