Long-Term Study

People have a variety of difference approaches to incorporating Alexander into their lives. Some come for a short, intensive time in order to learn to overcome pain or solve a specific problem. Some people attend weekly lessons for years. Some study for a short period of time, take a break, and return months or years later. Some people decide to train as Alexander Technique teachers themselves.

Even after you’ve studied Alexander intensively, you can come back for refresher lessons any time, to remind yourselves, learn how to apply the Alexander Technique to new activities, or to reset. 

Habits have a way of slowly creeping back in, even when you're aware of them. If you've come to Alexander lessons in order to recover from an injury that results from habit, often times the original series of intensive lessons can alleviate the symptoms of the injury. However, frequently the habit start to return and refresher lessons can be helpful to keep them at bay.
